Issue # 126 Zzaj Rant

7/2/2012     I’m going to write my rant “diary style” this time… some of you may have wondered why my reviews aren’t coming as “fast & furious” as they usually do… we’re on the road again soon… I’ve (almost) got orders to move to Hawaii – as any of you who have moved before know, that’s a major event.  My family have done a lot of moves over the years, & this is our “next to last” move… after a couple of years in Hawaii, I’ll be retiring to Olympia & (finally) out of service to Uncle Sam – woo-hoo!

     So, my reviews will be ever so slightly more staggered than usual… as always, everything we have in queue WILL be reviewed – it’s just that it will take a bit more time than it usually does.  I’m writing this on 6/25/2012, & as indicated above, I’ll be updating it periodically as I get more news about my move.  Stay tuned…

7/7/2012  OK, got a few more reviews done this week; had friends over for a little supper & partying… my HQ tells me my orders for Hawaii should be here by early next week… truly (TRULY) looking forward to that… as soon as I’ve got them, my wife and I will be in/out all the time; setting up appointments for moves, picking up records & all the rest of the stuff that goes with a big change… MTF (more to follow)…

7/22/2012 You’ll notice a few new CD’s reviewed in this issue, but as I indicated before, the progress will be a bit slower than normal… as indicated above, I’m prepping for a big (HUGE, actually) move to Hawaii… part of that prep has been recording several (about 200) CD’s I got in digitally… with the program below, called (rather ingeniously, I’ll admit – NOT!!!) – FREE AUDIO EDITOR…

Just CLICK on the pic, or click the link HERE to get to the page; you can “test-drive” it from this link, but if you want the full-featured package (import album/videos from YOUTUBE, full edit capabilities, etc.), you’ll have to pay the package price (I think mine was about $30 6 months ago).  I hadn’t really delved into it very much yet, but when I discovered how easy it is to use the program for extracting audio from flash CD’s, I jumped right down ON it.  This program comes MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from me (& no, I’m not getting any “kick” or “promo hits” from the company – I just find this an extremely easy program to use (once you get used to how they have the buttons laid out, of course)!!!
